Description:As a Senior Water Quality Professional you will be responsible for all aspects of project development and execution including client contact, participating on proposal teams, project and task management, technical work, and meeting project profitability goals. As part of the Water Quality Group in the Environmental Compliance Division you will be involved in projects for federal, state, and local agencies as well as private industry that may include developing regulatory compliance programs; preparing water quality technical report in support of environmental documents, completing NPDES permit or Waste Discharge Requirements applications, supporting clients through review and comment on proposed regulations or draft permits; assisting clients in negotiating discharge permit conditions; providing technical support to project planning and engineering design to identify and achieve water quality considerations. As a Senior Water Quality Professional you will also have goals for marketing and business strategies to maintain existing internal and external clients and target new growth areas. Our Senior Water Quality Professionals are also expected to mentor junior staff in their areas of technical expertise and overall project management skills. Requirements:Candidate must have Bachelors in civil or environmental engineering, environmental sciences, chemistry, hydrology or related field. Candidate must have 10 years experience in water quality/water resources. The candidate must possess excellent organizational, project management and time management skills and be capable of working independently, coordinating the work of staff and subcontractors, and interfacing with clients and regulatory agency staff. Good communication and writing skills are essential. Must be available to travel. Candidate must have a sound understanding of regulatory agency permitting and compliance requirements (e.g., State Water Resources Control Board, Regional Water Quality Control Boards, US Army Corps of Engineers, California Department of Fish and Game, US Army Corps of Engineers, US EPA, etc.) and applicable state and federal water quality laws/regulations (e.g., Clean Water Act, Porter-Cologne Act, etc.). Significant experience in a few of the following areas is required: stormwater Best Management Practice selection and/or design, watershed assessment and management; water quality modeling; development of water quality technical reports or stormwater data reports to support environmental documents under CEQA and/or NEPA; or preparing applications and negotiating the conditions of NPDES permits or Waste Discharge Requirements.

Environmental Transportation Planner

Responsibilities:
The candidate will work in the Environmental Planning Department in support of various projects lead by transit and transportation project managers.
