CEQA Project Manager - Renewable Energy / Compliance

Executive Search Company: http://www.sequencestaffing.com

Our client is a nationally recognized firm leading the way in renewable energy and power- based environmental consulting. In conjunction with their parent organization and other subsidiary companies, they have worked on permitting and compliance projects that alone represent some 20 percent of the nation's wind power.

Traditionally their Bay Area California office has focused on CEQA/NEPA related Compliance, Environmental Permitting, Resource Studies, Land Use Planning and Public Involvement Program for Energy, Infrastructure, Recreation and Land Development activities. But, the organization's nationwide resources also give them significant technical strength in Air Quality Management, Environmental Liability, EHS and very comprehensive energy services abilities.

Their San Francisco Bay Area operation specifically has achieved enormous success in the last few years and is growing quite rapidly; adding a number of high profile clients and projects in recent months.

With this sound growth also now being fed work from nationwide initiatives, the organization is faced with a bit of growing pains. The company finds itself with a number of very talented, personable and adept mid-level personnel, but is lacking a strong Technical / Program Manager to lead the practice and mentor staff with executive management.

They are now seeking a dynamic, seasoned Project/Technical Manager to lead technical staff, drive strategic initiatives and manage client relationships. While everyone these days seems to be searching for that all encompassing seller-doer, this organization is really focusing more on the doer aspect. They have a large amount of work in-hand and in the pipeline, and are seeking a strong technical manager to direct project staff and drive technical authorship of undertakings.

The company leaders have asked us to find them an individual that can oversee and run CEQA/NEPA projects with a solid skill-set and understanding of compliance, biological and natural resources activities. While energy experience would be desirable as it is one of their key niche focuses, leadership would be happy to find the right individual with formidable CEQA/NEPA (EIR, EA, EIS, etc.) abilities in other areas that could lead the group. Key to the make up is technical abilities with the capacity to drive technical projects, coupled with the right personality/attitude for the position.

While they are specifically looking for an experienced project manager to join their organization, with their capabilities and resources, they would be willing to consider merging in an individual that has a small, independent consulting practice or group of personnel into the firm.

The firm offers a very competitive salary, performance/spot bonuses and extensive benefits package (Health / Dental / Vision, Life and AD&D Insurance, Flexible Spending, 125 cafeteria plan, Flexible work schedule, Vacation, etc.) and works hard to structure opportunities that help individuals develop and progress both personally and professionally.

The employer is also offering a significant signing bonus and would be willing to help relocate an individual to the area should they currently not reside in the region.

Please be assured that at Sequence, we conduct our executive searches with strict confidentiality, ensuring both clients and candidates their privacy and professional integrity.
