AEP Spring CEQA Workshop:
OCAEP is set to host the AEP Spring CEQA Workshop on Monday May 12th at Chapman University in Orange. Our speakers
are Professor Dennis Binder of Chapman University School of Law, Susan Hori of Manatt, Carolyn Lobell of Nossaman,
Jeff Melching of Rutan & Tucker, Alfred Smith of Nossaman, and Haseeb Qureshi of Urban Crossroads. Some earlier
versions of the flyer incorrectly state that the workshop is May 2nd. AEP has applied for AICP-CM and State Bar
MCLE credits. We hope to have a decision from both organizations prior to the workshops. Stay tuned for an announcement
in the coming weeks.
HAPPY EARTH DAY (April 22nd) FROM OCAEP!
Earth Day (April 22nd) Programs and Information:
- EPA’s website has some great information about Earth Day programs
and ideas.
- The Newport Film Festival environmental films will
be shown at the Interpretive Center as part of Earth Day celebration.
The Film Festival begins on April 24. About 20 short films will loop non-stop from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm, and again
from about 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. At 11:30 "A Sheltered Sea" will screen (23 minutes followed by Q&A).
At 12:15 "Raising Lucy" will screen (28 minutes followed by Q&A). Admission is free.

OCAEP is pleased to announce our 2008 Scholarship Program.
A total of seven students from UCI, CSU Fullerton, and Chapman University Kennedy
School of Law have submitted applications for OCAEP’s 2008 scholarship! The OCAEP Board will select one undergraduate
and one graduate winner by May 15. Contact Director Kelly
M. Koldus for details on how you can donate towards the scholarship fund.
