Corporate Scholarship Donations
The Orange County Chapter of AEP Executive Board developed
and ratified five goals and corresponding objectives to support the mission of the AEP. One primary goal is to
encourage participation in the chapter by public agencies, consulting firms, private industries, and educational
institutions. To meet this goal, we are increasing our outreach efforts to Orange County colleges and universities
to support undergraduate and graduate students entering the environmental profession. We are proud to announce
our sustainable scholarship program for undergraduate and graduate students in Orange County.
This past year our scholarship program awarded two scholarships totaling $3,000.00 to two UCI students: Karla Acaylar,
an undergraduate seeking a degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences and J. Aaron Hipp a Ph.D candidate working
on his dissertation entitled: “Vulnerability of Local Restorative Environments to Global Environmental Change.”
Our goal is to continue the scholarship program to award scholarships annually and ultimately expand it to support
more students working on environmental issues.
We plan to support the scholarship fund through various means, including a corporate level donation system. Our
corporate level donation system includes three levels of support with accompanying benefits: summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude.
The summa cum laude level requires a donation of $750
or above and includes the following:
- Free advertising at joint AEP/APA functions (i.e.: Holiday
Mixer)
- Free advertising at monthly lunch programs
- Free advertising/booth at the fall AEP CEQA workshop
- Name and recognition of summa cum laude donation on website
- Name and recognition of summa cum laude donation on quarterly
newsletter
- Name and recognition of summa cum laude donation on “at a
glance” emails (minimum of 4 times a year)
- Recognition at Back To School Annual Scholarship Gala
- Enter raffle for free lunch for office (20-30 people) from
Organicstogo.com
- One ticket to our fall “Back-to-School” Gala
The magna cum laude level requires a donation of $500
to $749 and includes the following:
- Free advertising/booth at the fall AEP CEQA workshop
- Free advertising at monthly lunch programs
- Name and recognition of magna cum laude donation on website
- Name and recognition of magna cum laude donation on quarterly
newsletter
- Name and recognition of magna cum laude donation on “at a
glance” emails (minimum of 4 times a year)
- Recognition at Back to School Annual Scholarship Gala
- Enter raffle for free lunch for office (20-30 people) from
Organicstogo.com
And the cum laude level requires a donation of $250
to $499 and includes the following:
- Free advertising at one AEP lunch program
- Name and recognition of cum laude donation on website
- Name and recognition of cum laude donation on quarterly newsletter
- Name and recognition of cum laude donation on “at a glance”
emails (minimum of 4 times a year)
- Recognition at Back to School Annual Scholarship Gala
- Enter raffle for free lunch for office (20-30 people) from
Organicstogo.com
We are also open to working with you and granting you a High
Honors Donation level customizing the donation
amount to meet your abilities and offering a variety of incentives to match your donation amount. We also welcome
donated silent auction items. Please note that AEP is a 501c(6) non-profit, and therefore, your donations to the
scholarship fund are not tax deductible.
